Canadian National Railway and the Western Climate Initiative (WCI) hosted a collaborative meeting with key stakeholders on emissions from freight movement in Vancouver on March 4. The event was moderated by The Delphi Group and focused on the marine, rail and trucking subsectors. The purpose of the event was to:

• highlight the North American transportation industry's GHG emission pathways and the differences in managing sectors across WCI Partner jurisdictions;
• identify specific emission reduction opportunities within the subsectors;
• initiate dialogue on the treatment of the industry within the WCI; and,
• determine next steps for continued transportation industry engagement in WCI.
