The Delphi Group have recently published a benchmark analysis of sustainability activities in the Canadian energy sector. Considered the most significant benchmarking study in Canada’s energy sector to date, the study covers over 45 companies in the energy sector and analyses multiple information points relating to sustainability and carbon management activities. The report assesses over 65 benchmarks for a range of both quantitative and qualitative variables and Delphi is now providing access to the results on the web and in downloadable formats.

Delphi has been actively supporting our clients with targeted benchmarking for over five years and according to Ted Ferguson, VP at the Delphi Group, “What is unique about the Delphi approach is that it takes both numeric results, as well as an analysis of written materials to provide insight around impacts, strategies and management plans for sustainability and carbon management related issues. As experts in this space, our staff know what to look for to provide clients with meaningful results they can use to help improve strategic decision-making and the overall effectiveness of their sustainability initiatives”.

“As corporate management of sustainability issues becomes increasingly important, benchmarks of performance, strategy development, and impacts will become more critical tools for business leaders. At Delphi, we continue to ply uncharted waters around corporate responsibility, and it is the uncertainties inherent in the path forward that drive the need for enhanced comparables, metrics and benchmarks”.
