Delphi’s GHG Quantification Guide for Public Transit Projects has recently been published as an official reference document for Alberta’s new $2 billion Green TRIP public transit funding program. The Guide - created in collaboration with Alberta’s Climate Change Central in late 2008 – provides guidance on calculating GHG reductions from a range of transit projects eligible under the program. Green TRIP is a one-time capital funding program that will support public transit in Alberta. This program is intended to provide Albertans with a wider range of sustainable public transit alternatives which will help increase transit ridership, reduce traffic congestion and thereby reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
