Canada's Premier Environmental Sustainability Benchmarking & Analysis Company
The Delphi Group is called upon regularly by clients to develop competitive analysis through benchmarking in the areas of corporate sustainability or responsibility, as well as carbon management related issues. Through dozens of projects, we have analyzed over 100 companies across many sectors, resulting in thousands of data and information points.
Delphi’s competitive analysis differs from others as we are able to analyze both quantitative and qualitative information sources to derive trends, best practices, and business opportunity areas. This ability is made possible because our staff are experts in the subjects we are researching.
Delphi offers numerous competitive analysis services. Some of them include:
- TSX 60 Environment/Social / Governance performance benchmarking and analysis, contained in the Clean Capitalism Report, co-authored with Corporate Knights.
- Off-the-shelf sector specific results available with or without matching analysis and trending information.
- One-off, individual client driven competitive analysis, customized to the priority issues of interest to an organization.
- Confidential interview and survey-driven benchmarking analysis, for a group of clients or industry association.
- Sector-wide benchmarking on both corporate strategies and environmental performance related impacts, based on publicly available information.

Bi-Annual Energy Sector Sustainability Study
In 2010 Delphi performed groundbreaking research for a multi-client project that summarized how 45 energy sector companies were reporting and performing on over 75 key sustainability and carbon performance indicators. This year in 2012, Delphi will be updating the study, and breaking new ground into emerging areas of interest to companies, including climate change adaptation and sustainability information in financial reports.
Delphi’s Energy Sector Sustainability Study provides our clients with company-specific performance analysis highlighting key areas of differentiation and improvement. Key benchmarks, trends, and scores for all performance indicators are summarized and are visually provided for effortless insertion into executive briefing presentations or reports. Clients have full access to information at ease with web-based results, supplemented with qualitative and quantitative data sheets, allowing for expanded research and simple validation. All results of this bi-annual study are confidential and multi-year trending analysis is available.
