SouthIslandProsperity6

In November 2017, The Delphi Group and the South Island Prosperity Project (SIPP) launched a new Prosperity Index in Victoria, BC.

The index measures a number of indicators in the South Island region across five key themes:

  1. Economic Resiliency
  2. Transportation and Mobility
  3. Housing and Affordability
  4. Human Health
  5. Environmental Health

Unlike traditional measures, such as the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), this index provides a holistic view of regional prosperity. The themes align with best practices used by some of the world’s most progressive and leading cities, allowing the South Island region to benchmark and compare itself to cities and regions across Canada and the world.

For more information on this initiative, please contact Paul Shorthouse, Delphi’s BC Regional Director at pshorthouse@delphi.ca.
