Communications Intern – GLOBE Series, The Delphi Group, Leading Change

Contract (8 weeks) – Remote in Canada, reporting to the GLOBE Series office in Vancouver, British Columbia

Position Summary

The Communications Intern will work closely with the marketing team on external-facing communications aimed at engaging organizations who are actively working in, or want to be a part of, Canada’s transition to a low-carbon economy. The Intern will develop and execute on communication-related activities including social media posts and email newsletters. Key projects may include creating and developing collateral for thought-leadership pieces, reports and publications, partner amplification and the multi-stakeholder Destination Net Zero initiative.


Key Responsibilities

  • Curating informative social posts about sustainability, climate and other industry relevant news topics and updates
  • Fostering, tracking, and measuring social media engagement (e.g., daily activity on all channels, replies, additional support for Executive Leadership on personal channels to increase online profiles)
  • Developing social media content for partners that maximize reach and stakeholder engagement
  • Creating and disseminating monthly newsletter
  • Cross promoting between GLOBE and Delphi channels
  • Option to participate and contribute to other programs that connect to the applicant’s personal and professional interests


Experience and attributes

  • Strong writing and communication skills (English) with the ability to adapt tone to resonate with various audiences
  • Creativity and an eye for design (experience with Canva or Photoshop an asset)
  • Basic knowledge of sustainability and environment-related concepts
  • Experience with major social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube)
  • Experience with various software programs (e-mail, word processing, CRM databases, MS Office Suite) and adaptability to new software
  • Ability to plan and organize day-to-day workload and set priorities
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience working with a team in a professional environment
