In May 2020, Delphi Senior Vice President Bruce Dudley’s team at the Economic Recovery Hackathon won the Most Innovative Economic Project Award for this presentation. The team was charged with addressing the challenge of reducing the financial stress on Canadian households by increasing access to cheaper, locally grown produce while creating jobs and resiliency in communities across Canada. Their award-winning approach outlined a strategy to increase community-based agriculture at a national scale with a particular focus on urban and indoor agriculture. The hackathon was hosted by Jon Aikman, Adjunct Faculty, Queen’s University’s Smith School of Business and Kyle Burgers, Data Scientist, NordAi Analytics.
